Asthma and its treatment

To Prepare
Reflect on drugs used to treat asthmatic patients, including long-term control and quick relief treatment options for patients. Think about the impact these drugs might have on patients, including adults and children.
Consider how you might apply the stepwise approach to address the health needs of a patient in your practice.
Reflect on how stepwise management assists health care providers and patients in gaining and maintaining control of the disease.

Create a presentation that can be used in a staff development meeting on presenting different approaches for implementing the stepwise approach for asthma treatment. Be sure to address the following:
Describe long-term control and quick relief treatment options for the asthma patient from your practice as well as the impact these drugs might have on your patient.
Explain the stepwise approach to asthma treatment and management for your patient.
Explain how stepwise management assists health care providers and patients in gaining and maintaining control of the disease. Be specific.
This week our assignment focuses on asthma and its treatment. The 6 slide requirement that is in the directions does not include your title slide and the reference slide. Please make sure you focus on the step wise approach to treatment and why it works as this will be very valuable when treating patients when you are in practice.

Example.

Asthma is a chronic respiratory disease. This kind of lung problem affects a lot of people regularly. There are no airway gaps because the bronchi are swollen from inflammation. This inflammatory condition is characterized by hyperreactivity, mucus, and mucosa swelling. As a result, inflammation is to blame for recurring asthma attacks. Even though asthma has never been considered a mental illness, negative emotions may trigger it. It is impossible to treat asthma completely. It can only go into dormancy and occasionally return. Even though medical practitioners can manage asthma with appropriate medical care, the disease is incurable. The good news is that asthma is not contagious, although it is a genetic condition. Living conditions may make asthma flare-ups even worse. Altering one's way of life may also be helpful in the disease's treatment. When someone has asthma, shortness of breath, cough, dyspnea and wheezing are signs and symptoms. The majority of asthmatics' symptoms are brought on by their actions or the environment they are in (Boonpiyathad et al.,2019).
