Impacts of Covid Discussion

What impact has Covid has on you as a nurse in the last 18 months?

Example.

Healthcare professionals experience psychological effects from taking care of COVID-19-infected individuals on the front lines. Unfortunately, the qualitative evidence on this subject has not been synthesized, despite the critical psychological effects of the pandemic on nurses. We aim to synthesize and analyze qualitative studies regarding nurses' perceptions of the psychological effects of treating COVID-19-infected patients in hospitals on the front lines. The following databases were used to conduct a systematic review of qualitative studies published in English or Spanish up until March 2021: Medline (PubMed), PsycINFO, the Cochrane Library, Web of Science (WOS), Scopus, and CINHAL are all included. The Cochrane guidelines for qualitative evidence synthesis and the PRISMA statement were adhered to. Results, Fear, anxiety, stress, social isolation, depressive symptoms, uncertainty, and frustration were the primary psychological effects that nurses on the front lines perceived as a result of caring for COVID-19 patients. The nurses saw the main consequence as the fear of infecting family members or themselves. Anger, obsessive thoughts, compulsivity, introversion, apprehension, impotence, altered space-time perception, somatization, and a sense of betrayal were additional negative effects that this review highlighted and that nurses experienced as the COVID-19 pandemic progressed. Nurses used resilience as a coping strategy.
