In the methodology chapter your competence as a researcher will be examined. This is the tipping point chapter between the literature review and reporting the results. You should be prepared in this chapter to be reflective, to critique (but not to destroy) what you have done ... to show that you are a competent and thinking researcher. Therefore, make sure that your research questions can be answered by the research methodology that you have chosen. For example, if your research questions are related to whether a relationship between two research variables exists (e.g. Do intentions relate to behaviours?) then you can not answer this question by implementing a qualitative research design. Instead, you need a quantitative research approach in order to check for the existence of the relationship by using the SPSS software. However, if your research questions focus on aspects of relationships or how people experience concepts, then you will need to use a qualitative research approach. The Methodology chapter needs precision… For example the statement: “This study has administered 50 questionnaires.” is too vague. Enrich it with more details…For example, The questionnaire was mailed in January 2016 to a convenience sample of customer service managers in three water utility companies in the UK. Every time that you make a statement regarding the chosen methodological approach you need to justify it. For example: Considering that this research concerns the relationship between the variables under investigation, namely intentions and behaviours, and that the aim of the study is to test the applicability of the Theory of Planned Behaviour while generalising the findings, quantitative research methods have been implemented (Saunders et. all, 2012). |

Research Philosophy:
The research philosophy enhances the problem solving capabilities of a researcher. This is the phase which helps to organise the ideas and issues, the questions to deal with. Knowledge gathering, truth, critical thinking and culture are the pillars of research philosophy. A research paradigm is based on the philosophical framework. A research paradigm consists of ontology, epistemology, and the research methodology.

Research Methodology:
The researcher opted to use qualitative research analysis to get a deeper knowledge of the problem statement through experiences and opinions.
The researcher initially wanted to perform observational research whereas, with various readings for literature review, the researcher wanted to pursue the research in a 3-dimensional perspective on data gathering. The 3-dimensions are regular fashion consumers, sustainable fashion businesses, and sustainability experts.
The researcher conducted quantitative research analysis which includes semi-structured interviews. The understanding of 3 major views on sustainability and the price affecting factors has made the whole circle which explained to the researcher why the consumers are not able to buy more products, how the business answers the consumer issue and overall what a sustainable expert talks about sustainability and its truth.
Data Sampling:
The researcher opted to collect the consumer data through random sampling as the population of
Consumers:
The data is collected through quantitative analysis, there are semi-structured short interviews taken to collect primary data. The consumer data is collected from essential consumers of fashion from different geographies which include, India, the UK, Germany, Paris, Chinese.
The age group of the consumers is between 18 - 35.
The financial background of the consumers is student till self-sustained economic consumer.
The knowledge about sustainability is from very low to moderate.
The majority of the consumer gender is female.
The number of participants are 8
Business:
The other dimension of the interview is from a sustainable fashion brand based out of India. The founder has 17 years of international working experience with various labels in Europe. The established year of the business is 2020. The business originated in India.
Expert:
The expert column is filled in by one of the national brand ambassadors of SDGs (CIMSME), a rural innovator and the TEDx speaker. Sahiti Divi has finished her master’s in social entrepreneurship at Hult international university. Sahithi Divi has helped me gather some valuable information on sustainability and sustainable goals. She is now based in India.
