Reflect on the concept of maladaptive responses to disorders. · Select two of the following immune disorders: HIV, psoriasis, inflammatory bowel disease, or systemic lupus E (SLE). · Identify the pathophysiology of each disorder you selected. Consider the compensatory mechanisms that the disorders trigger. Then compare the resulting maladaptive and physiological responses of the two disorders. · Select one of the following factors: genetics, gender, ethnicity, age, or behavior. Reflect on how the factor might impact your selected immune disorders. Post a brief description of the pathophysiology of your selected immune disorders. Explain how the maladaptive and physiological responses of the two disorders differ. Finally, explain how the factor you selected might impact the pathophysiology of each disorder.
Example.
Psoriasis and the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) are the two disorders I have chosen to examine.Psoriasis is an infection that causes skin lesions and is frequently brought on when an individual's immune system misinterprets viable cells for any external substance (Langley, 2010). The human body begins to produce abnormal skin cells as a result. On the victim's skin, the abnormal skin cells appear as silver-white patches. On the other hand, the person who is infected with HIV always exhibits a weakened immune system as part of its pathophysiology. When HIV enters a person's bloodstream, this mechanism kicks in, making them more susceptible to a variety of infections.
