TOPIC:
There are many things that as nurse practitioners learn from projects and from this particular project there was a lot of knowledge to acquire. As a nurse practitioner is hard to see many adolescents that are suffering with obesity and which that could lead to many other diseases. However, from this particular project I was able to understand that adolescents are going through so many issues already and with the help of the provider they are able to get in control of their health. There are many providers that they do not get the adolescent involved and that is one of the biggest issues. It increased my self-awareness in spending time with the adolescent in different ways and that increased the chances of having the adolescents involved with their health and get positive outcomes.

There are many things that I learned from my classmates presentation and could place in practice in helping the medical field. Evidence based practice is really important in the medical field and there are many times that mistakes are fixed with evidence based practice. The foundation of the project is a solid foundation knowing and wanting great outcome for the adolescent and prevent future issues. Preventive methods are better and especially in the young adolescents since they are just growing and developing. It is important to have the patient and the team members involved in the process and as mentioned in the project is important to not be judgmental in this situation. This is a very sensitive topic for every age and every gender so as the providers the main learning outcome I go was to be neutral and not have facial expressions or anything that would bother the patient. There is always room of improvement and every patients outcome would be in different timing but it always should be beneficial to the patient if possible. My change project reflect my understanding in the development of out patients in our community and prevent future problems with our patients. These adolescents are able to help with the problem that they have in the current time being and at the same time they could help prevent many problems in the future due to obesity
