Tips for Successful Students Read Lake and von Baeyer’s article, “Tips for Successful Students.” Also, review the characteristics of a successful student as explained in the lecture. As you consider these, which is your strongest characteristic? Why? How will this characteristic help you to become a successful student in your program of study? What do you look forward to as you begin this educational experience and your personal search for purpose? What is your greatest fear? How can you overcome it? Write about one specific educational experience from your past in which you addressed a fear and overcame it and how you succeeded in this process.

I believe that all of the characteristics listed in Tips for a Successful Student are essential to becoming a successful student. Having educational goals, on the other hand, was the one point that stood out to me the most. Educational goals are an important tool that helps steer one's focus in school, especially the college phase. Without focus and a clear purpose on what one wants to achieve through education, it becomes very easy to go astray. Individuals can easily figure out what they want to achieve in life when they have clear, focused educational goals. Once an individual decides on who and what they want to be in future, it becomes easy to set out their goals and priorities in life.
